i’m not vegetarian at all but that post makes no sense to me

Vegan isn’t the same thing as vegetarian. Vegans reject all use of animal products, to the point where militant vegans often assert that drinking cow’s milk is morally equivalent to rape. “True” vegan food is tested and certified to be totally free of animal products throughout all stages of production and processing, and as a result commands an extreme price premium in most markets — even more so than kosher and halal foods.
